My little puppy dog
There was once a sweet little puppy dog
Fonzie was his name
He would run jump lick and dodge
Though it all seemed so insane
He would often jump the gate
Chasing cars for fun and games
Biting tyres and some people
If too close to me they came
He was always hiding from his master
Otherwise he would be beaten
Where he’d hide I would be waiting
Hiding for the same reason
As he would nuzzle me
And lick away my tears
I would reassure him
And soothe away his fears
Then one day after school
For him I did look to play
But nowhere was he to be
They had sent him far away
Devastated I am
Until this very day
How I loved my Fonzie
And wish that he had stayed
